The Royal LePage® Shelter Foundation™ is delighted to announce $60 million raised since 1998!

When the Royal LePage® Shelter Foundation™ was established 28 years ago, intimate partner violence was not widely discussed or recognized as the pressing social issue it is today. Long before the issue gained broader public attention, Royal LePage professionals rallied around the cause, united by the belief that everyone deserves to live in a home where they feel safe, secure and loved.

Nearly three decades later, the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is the largest public foundation in Canada dedicated exclusively to supporting women’s shelters and intimate partner violence prevention programs. The company also continues to be the only Canadian real estate banner with its own charity.

Unfortunately, the statistics remain sobering. Forty-four per cent of women have experienced some form of intimate partner violence in their lifetimes1 and women in Canada continue to be killed at an alarming frequency by their current or former intimate partners. Thankfully, the resolve of the Royal LePage community to bring an end to this senseless violence is strong. Through commission-based donations, fundraising events, and awareness raising, thousands of Royal LePage professionals give back to both their local women’s shelters and national programs aimed at breaking cycles of family violence and teaching youth how to build healthy relationships.
